Update on Covid Vaccination Programme 22 January 2021

We have now completed 1425 vaccinations and continue to receive further supplies of vaccines and are now completing vaccinations of over 80s who are able to come up for a vaccine, residents of care homes and their staff.

Over 80 and not vaccinated?

If any patients are over 80 and are NOT housebound and have not heard from us, please contact us with up-to-date contact information.

We hope to start visiting the housebound in the next 2 weeks and will be in contact with them shortly.

Age 70-80?

We are now contacting patients that are over 75 to book them into clinics that we are running today, Monday and Tuesday. Our plan is also to run clinics at the end of next week once we have a confirmed date for our next delivery of vaccines.

Other groups?

We are still receiving a lot of calls or messages through our website asking to be moved up the covid priority groups but we have to stick to the guidelines we have been given and will be in touch as soon as we can so please be patient and we will be in touch. This will be by telephone (though please be aware that if you receive an email, text message or phone call purporting to be from the NHS and you are asked to provide financial details, this is a scam.

We are pleased to advise that we have not wasted any vaccines at the end of the day. Because some patients may be unable to attend their appointment, we may have a vaccine for that day that needs to be used but we are contacting patients from the category that we are immunising who are always happy to come straight up. Please, do not just turn up at the clinic.

Thank you for all your kind comments we have received from patients who have been vaccinated. All our staff are working very hard to get this vaccination to as many people as soon as we can and we appreciate the great response we have had from patients.
